Family wedding beauties

I had a fun Saturday last week getting to serve a beautiful friend and her family for her baby sister's wedding. Adrianna is an amazingly strong and encouraging person, and I was so honored that she thought of me when it came to getting ready for her family's big day!

We had to get an early start due to how much these awesome women were doing to help the wedding go off perfectly, so the makeup needed to LAST. I took this opportunity to put some particular techniques to work. Their faces were all set with RCMA foundation which has a wax base and 50% pigment, so a very little bit goes a long way. This means that one can work in very this layers for good coverage and comfort. It also means that when you apply a very thin layer, you can spritz on a waterproofing setting spray like Urban Decay All-Nighter, then layer ANOTHER very thin layer of foundation on to build a long-lasting canvas. I heard back from Adrianna that they felt great and it lasted all night! Score!

I had the pleasure of working with Adrianna's mother, who had basically never worn makeup in her life! I wanted her to feel comfortable but still glamorous, so I went very light-handed on the foundation and focused mostly on color-correcting some dark spots and scars she had. And by some crazy miracle, I convinced her to wear false lashes! Her daughters were loving this, of course!

(I COMPLETELY forgot to take a "before" picture of Adrianna's sister, but she was radiant!)

Each woman was a total joy to work with, and I'm glad they had just as much fun as I did. Thank you, ladies, for letting me be a part of your big day!

Summer Refresher

Summer has made it's appearance BIG TIME in California. And it's only May! With the heat comes a time for change, and not just with our wardrobe. Have you ever wanted to try a new makeup routine for days in the summer sun, but you're not quite sure where to start? Well, I'm here to help!

I'll join you on a shopping trip to your favorite cosmetic store and help you navigate the endless amount of products. We'll color match your skin, find what is right for you and your preferred new look, AND I'll help you stay on budget.

THEN, we'll have a one-on-one makeup lesson and I'll teach you how to achieve a desired summer glow. This can all be on the same day, or we can split it up to suit any busy schedules. I'd love to help you feel radiant and ready for vacations, summer weddings, and fun date nights!

Prom glam!

Spring isn't just a time for wedding fun. It's a season for graduations, new beginnings, and prom! I had so much fun breaking out all the glow for a prom look a couple weekends ago.

Grace is a lovely, strong, and sweet girl who wanted a warm glow.  I stuck with rich bronze tones from my Tartiest Pro Amazonian Clay palette, and gave a pop of highlight with the highlight palette from Lashes by Lena.

Those lash extensions were divine!

Bridal trial with Kelly

It's been so nice jumping into a busy makeup season! I had the joy of working with the sweetest bride-to-be and her family for a makeup trial last weekend. Her future sister-in-law is a friend of mine, and I was so thankful for her recommendation! The look of the day was glam, and I am always up for a vibrant look.

Kelly is so beautiful! She wanted to have some fun with a dramatic glam eye complete with a metallic sheen.

Rosy gold tones are so on trend.

Achieving this look gave me the opportunity to use new products I've never stocked in my kit. I was so happy to find something that worked this well! Inglot cosmetics makes vegan, cruelty-free, and hypo-allergenic cosmetics. They are decently affordable for the quality and durability of products I used! Their pigments and mixing liquid were so easy to use with a long-lasting finish, and that EYELINER 💜.  Perfectly black, smooth as can's a new must-have of mine.

I also got to give my friend a glam-up with a classic winged liner and red lip combo!

I definitely love vintage eyes and a great highlight!

Kelly's mom got in on the fun, too!  We did a "half trial" where I only did her eyes and lips. She felt comfortable applying her own foundation, and she used a high-quality one at that.  She is beautiful through and through!

I'm so grateful that these wonderful women trusted me with this honor!

It's Here!

After a long wait, my new website is finally complete!  I began the design process last year, but budget constraints put completion on hold.  I'm so excited for it to be ready!
